Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has authorized production under zone procedures at the BGM America Inc. facility within subzone 127C in Marion, S.C., which is used for the production of sailboats, cabin cruiser powerboats, and outboard motor boats. This authorization is subject to a requirement that specified foreign-sourced materials and components be admitted to the subzone in privileged foreign status.

The FTZ Board has received from America's Central Port District, grantee of FTZ 31, a request for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework. The proposed service area of the zone would be Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, Montgomery, Randolph, St. Clair, and Washington counties in Illinois, within and adjacent to the St. Louis U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. Comments on this request are due no later than April 10.
