Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received notifications of proposed production activity at the following facilities, all of which are used for the production of nickel, aluminum and titanium-based closed die ISO-thermal forgings and parts of turbine engines used in aerospace and industrial gas turbine applications.

- the Firth Rixson Forgings LLC facility in Midway, Ga.

- the Forged Metals Inc. facility in Fontana, Calif.

- the Schlosser Forge Company facility in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

- the Schlosser Forge Company facility in Verdi, Nev.

The proposed scope of FTZ production authority at these facilities would not involve inverted tariff benefits on foreign titanium inputs, and all foreign titanium would be admitted to the zone in privileged foreign status. Comments on these proposals are due no later than April 14.
