The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved a request by the Athens Economic Development Corporation, grantee of FTZ 269, for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework. The new service area will be the city of Athens, Texas, within and adjacent to the Dallas-Fort Worth U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. The grantee will now be able to serve sites throughout this area based on companies’ needs for FTZ designation.
