Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has approved a request by the Port of Houston Authority, grantee of FTZ 84, to designate a particular site in Hitchcock, Texas, as an additional magnet site of FTZ 84 rather than as an entirely new FTZ, as previously requested. The approval is subject to the Board’s standard 2,000-acre activation limit as well as to a sunset provision for magnet sites that would terminate authority for the site if not activated within five years from the month of approval.
