Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has received from the Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania, grantee of FTZ 33, a request for authority to reorganize this zone under the alternative site framework, which can permit significantly greater flexibility in the designation of new subzones or usage-driven FTZ sites for operators and users located within a grantee’s service area. The service area proposed would be Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania, within and adjacent to the Pittsburgh U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry. Comments on this application are due no later than Sept. 1.
