Miami-Dade County, grantee of FTZ 281, is requesting authority to expand its zone under the alternative site framework to include a new magnet site in Miami. The zone currently has a service area that includes the northern half of Miami-Dade County and consists of three magnet sites and 48 usage-driven sites. There is also an application currently pending with the FTZ Board to expand the zone to include an additional magnet site in Miami. The applicant is now requesting authority to expand its zone to include yet another magnet site: Miami International Airport, adjacent to the Miami Customs and Border Protection port of entry.

Comments on this request may be submitted through Aug. 8, with any rebuttal comments due by Aug. 23.
