FMC News: OTI License Revocations and Applications, New Maritime Agreements

OTI License Revocations, Reissuances, and Applications. The Federal Maritime Commission has given notice that the following ocean transportation intermediary licenses have been revoked. A revocation may occur after a license is surrendered voluntarily by the OTI or for failure to maintain a valid bond.

Reissuance. The FMC has given notice that the following OTI license has been reissued.

Maritime Agreements Filed. The FMC has issued notice that the following new or amended agreements have been filed. Interested parties may submit comments by March 20.

West Coast North America/Pacific Islands Vessel Sharing Agreement (Maersk Line A/S and The China Navigation Co. Pte. Ltd.) – The amendment deletes Hamburg Sud as a party and replaces it with Maersk Line A/S and replaces article 12 of the agreement.

Marine Terminal Services Agreement Port of Houston Authority and Maersk Line A/S (Port of Houston Authority and Maersk Line A/S) – The amendment revises the consumer price index adjustment month for the agreement from October to July.

NYK/Grimaldi Cooperative Working Agreement (Nippon Yusek Kaisha and Grimaldi Deep Sea S.P.A. and Grimaldi Euromed S.P.A.) – The amendment converts the agreement from a one-way space charter to a reciprocal space charter arrangement.

Turkon/Hapag-Lloyd Space Charter and Sailing Agreement (Hapag-Lloyd AG and Turkon Konteyner Tasimacilik ve Denizcilik A.S.) – The agreement authorizes the parties to operate a service between the U.S. Atlantic coast and ports in Spain, Turkey, and Egypt.
