U.S. Customs and Border Protection has issued a final rule that, effective Oct. 7, will expand the geographical limits of the port of Indianapolis, Ind. The port limits will be revised to include all the territory within the boundaries of Marion County, Ind., as well as portions of the neighboring counties of Boone, Hendricks and Johnson. CBP has said that this rule will not alter the service provided to the public by the port nor will it require a change in the staffing or workload at the port.
