Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is accepting comments no later than Nov. 25 on the proposed extension of CBP Form 7523, Entry and Manifest of Merchandise Free of Duty, Carrier’s Certificate of Release. This form is used by carriers and importers as a manifest for the entry of merchandise free of duty under certain conditions, by carriers to show that articles being imported are to be released to the importer or consignee, and as an inward foreign manifest for vehicles of less than five tons arriving from Canada or Mexico with merchandise conditionally free of duty.
