Input Sought on Labor Capacity-Building Efforts under CAFTA-DR

The Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs is seeking input by Jan. 2 on labor capacity-building efforts under Chapter 16 and Annex 16.5 of the CAFTA-DR. Comments are also welcomed on efforts made by the CAFTA–DR countries to implement the labor obligations under the labor chapter as well as the recommendations contained in a white paper entitled “The Labor Dimension in Central America and the Dominican Republic—Building on Progress: Strengthening Compliance and Enhancing Capacity.”

Any input submitted will be used by ILAB in the preparation of a report on this subject, as required under the CAFTA-DR Implementation Act.
