Litigator Confirmed as CPSC Commissioner
The Senate voted May 22 to confirm Dana Baiocco as a commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission for a seven-year term that will run through October 2024. Baiocco worked as an attorney for a major U.S. law firm for nearly 20 years and most recently was a partner in its Boston office. Her work included defending companies in litigation on consumer and industrial products and medical devices in federal, state, and international courts as well as counseling clients on regulatory and reporting obligations and CPSC product recalls. She served as chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates from 2009 to 2011 and also served on its board of governors.
