BIS Resumes Export Licensing Activity, Warns of Delays

The Bureau of Industry and Security reports that it is again accepting and processing export license applications, commodity classification requests, advisory opinion requests and other filings. Due to the 16-day federal government shutdown, BIS anticipates that the number of filings will be higher than usual. While the agency will work to process these filings as quickly as possible, it cautions that normal processing times likely will be exceeded for a while.
