Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Iron Pipe Fittings. The ITC has determined in its antidumping and countervailing injury investigations of cast iron soil pipe fittings from China that (1) a U.S. industry is not materially injury or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of drain bodies from China, and (2) a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of all other cast iron soil pipe fittings from China. As a result, the International Trade Administration will issue AD and CV duty orders on imports of cast iron soil pipe fittings other than drain bodies from China.

Steel Racks. The ITC has issued preliminary affirmative injury determinations in its AD and CV investigations of steel racks from China. As a result, the ITA will continue its AD and CV duty investigations of imports of subject merchandise. The ITA is scheduled to issue its preliminary CV determination on or about Sept. 13 and its preliminary AD determination on or about Nov. 27.

Request Administrative Reviews. The ITA is accepting through Aug. 31 requests for administrative reviews of the following AD and/or CV duty orders for the periods Aug. 1, 2017, through July 31, 2018 (AD) and Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2017 (CV), unless otherwise noted. These reviews could result in higher or lower AD/CV duty rates for these products.
