Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is moving up its deployment of two functions in the Automated Commercial Environment and has announced the deployment of other ACE functionality as well.

Consolidated Express Filings. CBP has rescheduled its automation of manual processes for non-ABI entries from July 20 to June 15.

Mass Processing. Enhancements to the mass liquidation functionality, which will provide streamlined processing for CBP users, will now be deployed June 15 instead of July 20. Mass update functionality will be deployed at a later date.

Document File Location. The DocFile Location application functionality will be moved into ACE and disabled in ACS as of June 22.

Collections. The deployment date for release 1, focusing on the back end processing of automated clearinghouse debit/credit transactions, has been updated to Aug. 10.

ACE functionality, including data reports, can help importers and others boost compliance and duty savings efforts. For more information, please contact customs and trade consultant Tom Gould at (661) 471-2659.
