ACE Export Reports Enhanced to Provide Additional Information
The Census Bureau has announced the addition of new features to two export reports in response to public feedback. For the filer (AES-201) report, the routed transaction indicator has been added as a default prompt. For the agent-filed routed (AES-203) report, the electronic export information filing date has been added to the data elements provided in this report and the export date and EEI filing date have been added as default search prompts.
Census states that the ACE export reports feature is a useful auditing and compliance tool because it gives users free access to their official export records, including data they file directly as well as data filed on their behalf. Users can create customizable reports to access up to five years’ worth of data in addition to the current year. Tom Gould, senior director, customs and international trade, for Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, states that the addition of the new features described above will make it easier to identify potential compliance issues with routed exports.
