Drawback Essentials Part 1: TFTEA, the Final Regulations and ACE
Webinar: 1 CCS Credit
The Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act made many significant changes to the drawback law. Now, after a long wait, U.S. Customs has published final regulations and, as of 2/24/19, claimants can only file drawback under TFTEA. This comes on the heels of CBP now requiring drawback claimants to transmit claims electronically in the Automated Commercial Environment, including numerous new data elements. In this webinar, noted drawback expert and Sandler Travis & Rosenberg attorney Michael Cerny will provide an overview of the most important changes to drawback under TFTEA, CBP’s regulations, and ACE. Future webinars in this series will examine other TFTEA drawback issues in more detail.
