Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., announced today the addition of Andrew Margolis, Esq., a veteran Federal Maritime Commission official who will increase the firm’s capacity to help clients address today’s global logistics challenges.

“Andrew’s years of experience are unparalleled, as a district director and area representative for the FMC leading investigations and enforcement actions regarding violations of the Shipping Act,” said Lenny Feldman, a member of STR’s Operating Committee. “His legal and operational expertise will prove essential to our clients confronting the unprecedented costs, delays, and uncertainty companies are experiencing in the maritime and transportation environment.”

Margolis comes to ST&R after a 32-year career with the FMC, where he earned extensive experience in ocean transportation regulation in matters related to ocean freight forwarders and NVOCCs, steamship lines, ports, terminals, and import/export companies. His expertise includes dispute resolution and adjudication of complaints under the Shipping Act pertaining to ocean freight overcharges and unfair practices.
