Infringement Found in Optoelectronic Devices Investigation. The International Trade Commission has determined that the importation, sale for importation and sale within the U.S. after importation of certain optoelectronic devices, components thereof and products containing the same is infringing certain patents. The ITC is therefore seeking comments by May 24 on the following issues.
• the form of remedy, if any, that should be ordered
• the effects that an exclusion order and/or cease and desist orders would have on the public health and welfare, competitive conditions in the U.S. economy, U.S. production of articles that are like or directly competitive with those that are subject to investigation, and U.S. consumers
• the amount of the bond under which the subject articles would be entitled to enter the U.S. during the 60 days the president has to approve or disapprove any ITC-ordered remedy
