State Proposes to Extend Information Collection Related to Defense Sales Report. The State Department is seeking comments by March 1 on the proposed extension of an information collection related to an annual report that must be submitted to Congress on projected sales of major weapons and weapons-related defense equipment (if US$7 million or more) and non-major weapons or weapons-related defense equipment (if US$25 million or more). In order to prepare this report, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls requests information from major defense companies on relevant projected sales, including the foreign country to which the item is to be sold, a description of the item, and the items quantity and value.
