State’s International Economic Policy Committee to Focus on China
The State Department’s Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy will hold an open meeting Sept. 29 in Washington, D.C. This meeting will focus on policies, programs and economic engagement with China, with particular emphasis on the geopolitical relationship after the Beijing Olympics, the Strategic Economic Dialogue, consumer safety issues and the bilateral investment treaty negotiations. Subcommittee reports and discussions will be led by the Strategic Regions Subcommittee and the Economic Sanctions Subcommittee.
