SAICHANG (SAI) XU is Of Counsel with Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., resident in the Chicago office. Her practice focuses on trade remedy law, import/export regulatory compliance and U.S.-China trade and investment matters. 

With a background in import/export law, intellectual property law, investment law and Chinese laws, Ms. Xu offers a diverse background and skill set to help clients comply with laws and regulations, control risks and develop strategies in international trade. Her understanding of the nuances of and differences between the legal systems and culture of the U.S. and China make  her a valuable resource for any U.S. company exporting to China and any Chinese company coming to the U.S. for trade and investment. 

Ms. Xu assists companies with classification, country of origin, valuation, prior disclosure, penalty, C-TPAT, Food Safety Modernization Act and other matters. She is experienced in representing importers and foreign exporters before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission in antidumping and countervailing duty investigations, reviews and scope ruling proceedings. She also litigates trade matters before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. 

Ms. Xu received her LLB from Zhejiang University Chu Kechen Honor College in China, her LLM in intellectual property and technology law from National University of Singapore and her J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law. She is admitted to practice before the CAFC, the CIT and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Chinese American Bar Association of Greater Chicago.
