JORGE MORALES is the Vice President of STTAS de Mexico Servicios de Comercio Exterior, resident in the Mexico City office.

Prior to joining STTAS, Mr. Morales worked for more than eight years with the Mexican Ministry of Finance, where he was responsible for the management and execution of origin audits and verification procedures performed under the scope of the many free trade agreements subscribed to by the Mexican government. In addition, he was responsible for the negotiation and implementation of the customs procedures under those agreements. During his time at the ministry he also participated as a speaker in many forums organized by different Mexican and international organizations.

Mr. Morales holds a master’s degree in international business administration from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, a degree in public accountancy from the Universidad Panamericana, and additional degrees in taxes and managing skills. He is a member of the International Trade Committee of the National Association of Mexican Importers and Exporters, the Foreign Trade Committee of the National Lawyers Bar, the International Politics Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce, and the International Trade Committee of the Mexican Public Accountants Institute. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
