GLENN CICKELLO is an Independent Consultant for Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., based in Ottawa, Canada. Mr. Cickello has extensive knowledge of Canadian customs regulations and trade policies, particularly in the textile, apparel and industrial sectors. He is recognized as an expert in the NAFTA rules of origin and has lectured extensively on this and other international trade matters. Other areas of expertise include valuation, duty relief, appeals and compliance. He has successfully represented clients on customs and trade matters before the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, the Department of Finance and U.S. Customs. He has also assisted in the representation of clients before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and testified on matters of government policy. He presents in-house commodity specific seminars to companies and is the instructor of the course “Customs & International Trade” for the Purchasing Management Association of Canada.
Mr. Cickello is an 11-year veteran of Canada’s Department of National Revenue (now the Canada Border Services Agency) at both the regional and headquarters level. Throughout his tenure at CCRA he was a senior project officer specializing in Harmonized System training at the Customs College at Rigaud, Quebec. He was also the administrator of the automotive sector, including the Auto Pact, and acted as a liaison officer with the U.S. Customs Service in Washington, D.C.
