LAURA SIEGEL RABINOWITZ is Of Counsel to Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, P.A., resident in the New York office. Ms. Siegel Rabinowitz represents the interests of importers, exporters, manufacturers, retailers, customs brokers, freight forwarders and others before U.S. Customs and Border Protection, related regulatory agencies and federal courts. Her experience covers a wide range of commercial and enforcement laws and policies administered by CBP, including duty preference programs, tariff classification, valuation, entry procedures and antiterrorism initiatives.

Prior to joining the Firm, Ms. Siegel Rabinowitz served as counsel for customs and international trade issues with Tompkins & Davidson LLP. She has also served as an attorney with Customs’ Office of the Assistant Chief Counsel, where she represented Customs in its litigation with importers in the Court of International Trade.

Ms. Siegel Rabinowitz holds a J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a B.A. in history from the University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. district courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the CIT. She is the current president of the New York chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade and serves on the Customs Committee of the Customs and International Trade Bar Association.
