Effective management of trade preference programs such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA),
the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP), the Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA),
the Andean Trade Preference Act (ATPA), the U.S./Israel Free Trade Agreement, and the provisions of
Chapter 98 of the Tariff Schedule has a direct impact on a company’s profitability.
We assist our corporate clients in optimizing their use of trade programs to take advantage of duty-free
provisions and quota preferences.
STTAS has developed its own proprietary software programs to help clients accurately and efficiently organize,
manage and transit data.
Our preference program project management protocol is enhanced by the use of Pursue™, a data origination, retrieval and
management system that streamlines the process of creating and obtaining the necessary documentation to substantiate preference
program eligibility.
By allowing our document acquisition specialists to organize supplier, part and tariff classification information and transmit
and track supplier requests, Pursue™ helps ensure that the documentation necessary to substantiate preference program
eligibility is accurate and available.
For complex NAFTA documentation creation, retrieval and monitoring solutions, we developed the NAFTA Administrator software program.
The NAFTA Administrator, in conjunction with our dedicated classification system and the Pursue™ data management protocol,
analyzes relevant bills of material, determines NAFTA qualification based on applicable criteria, and creates reports prioritizing
components by qualification significance.
