The International Trade Commission has terminated patent infringement investigation 337-TA-881 of certain windshield wiper devices and components thereof based on a settlement agreement between complainants Federal-Mogul Corporation and Federal-Mogul S.A. and the respondents, which are located in Mexico and the U.S. The presiding administrative law judge had previously found that the importation, sale for importation and sale within the U.S. after importation of the subject items were infringing specified patents and recommended the issuance of a limited exclusion order. The ITC recently terminated a similar investigation involving the same parties (337-TA-902) but a third investigation (337-TA-928) is ongoing.
