Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Maritime Administration will accept comments through Jan. 28, 2016, on its proposal to renew form MA-518, “Monthly Report of Ocean Shipments Moving under Export-Import Bank Financing.” Shipments financed by Ex-Im Bank that move by sea must be transported exclusively on U.S.-flag registered vessels unless a waiver is obtained from MARAD. This form allows MARAD to monitor and enforce this requirement relative to the loans/guarantees extended by Ex-Im Bank to foreign borrowers.
