USDA Reviewing Information Collection on Unauthorized Plants for Planting

The Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is requesting comments no later than Aug. 4 on the proposed extension of an information collection associated with plants for planting not authorized for importation pending pest risk analysis. Requests to remove a taxon from this category involve the collection of information about the party making the request and the commodity proposed for importation, shipping information, a description of the pests and diseases associated with the commodity, current practices for risk mitigation or management, and any additional information listed in 7 CFR 319.5 that may be necessary for APHIS to complete a pest risk analysis.
