Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

Truck and Bus Tires. The International Trade Administration has made a preliminary affirmative countervailing duty determination on truck and bus tires from China. As a result, the ITA will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to require CV cash deposits on entries of subject goods at the preliminary net subsidy rates, which range from 17.06 percent to 23.38 percent.

The ITA preliminarily found that critical circumstances exist with respect to one exporter. For subject goods from that exporter CBP will be instructed to impose provisional measures retroactively, effective 90 days prior to publication of the preliminary determination in the Federal Register.

Amorphous Silica Fabric. The ITA has made a preliminary affirmative CV duty determination on amorphous silica fabric from China. The ITA will instruct CBP to require CV cash deposits on entries of subject goods at the preliminary net subsidy rates, which range from 4.36 percent to 104.10 percent.
