Textile Rule Amendments to Take Effect May 5

A Federal Trade Commission final rule making various amendments to the Textile Labeling Rules will be published in the Federal Register on April 4 and take effect May 5. The FTC has said that this rule seeks to give businesses more compliance options without imposing significant new obligations. It includes provisions on fiber content disclosures, country of origin, electronic commerce and continuing guaranties.
