Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

The Environmental Protection Agency has issued a final rule that, effective Jan. 12, 2016, will amend the significant new use rules for five chemical substances. This rule will allow certain uses of these substances without requiring a significant new use notice and extend the SNUN requirements to certain additional uses. It will also require persons who intend to manufacture (including import) or process any of these five chemical substances for an activity that is designated as a significant new use by this rule to notify the EPA at least 90 days before commencing that activity.
