Export Controls on Sensors and Information Systems to be Discussed at BIS Meetings

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Sensors and Instrumentation Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Jan. 26 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to sensors and instrumentation equipment and technology. The agenda for the open session will include remarks from BIS management and industry presentations.

In addition, BIS’s Information Systems Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Jan. 27 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to information systems equipment and technology. The open session of this meeting will include working group reports and industry presentations.

The open session of each meeting will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to join the conferences are due by Jan. 19 and Jan. 20, respectively. In addition, a limited number of seats will available at each public session, but reservations are not accepted.
