Renewable Energy, Civil Nuclear Trade to be Subject of December Meetings
Renewable Energy. The International Trade Administration’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee will hold an open meeting Dec. 3 in Washington, D.C. This committee provides advice from the private sector on the development and administration of programs and policies to enhance the international competitiveness of the U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency industries.
The Dec. 3 meeting will consist of presentations from four subcommittees – finance, U.S. competitiveness, trade policy and trade promotion – on their work thus far and any potential recommendations. The full committee will review the work of each subcommittee and develop a plan for finalizing initial recommendations to be presented to the ITA at a later date. Members of the public wishing to attend this meeting must notify the ITA by 5:00 p.m. EST on Nov. 27.
Civil Nuclear Trade. The ITA’s Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Dec. 4 in Washington, D.C. This committee provides advice from U.S. industry regarding the development and administration of programs to expand U.S. exports of civil nuclear goods and services in accordance with applicable U.S. laws and regulations, including how U.S. export policies, programs and activities will affect the U.S. civil nuclear industry's competitiveness and ability to participate in the international market.
The public session of the upcoming meeting will include an update on the ITA’s Civil Nuclear Trade Initiative and a discussion of civil nuclear trade promotion activities. Members of the public wishing to attend this meeting must notify the ITA no later than Nov. 29.
