Foreign Regulatory Changes Could Affect Exports of Generators, Water Heaters, Electronics

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the World Trade Organization has been notified of regulatory changes that may affect exports of specific products to the following countries. For information on how these restrictions may affect your business, contact ST&R.

Chile – certification procedure for gas generators (comments due by June 18)

France – modalities for manufacturer verification of level of safety of new electric fence energizers (comments due by June 15)

India – July 3, 2013, entry into force of order on compulsory registration for electronics and information technology goods

Mexico – Oct. 12, 2013, entry into force of official standard on gas water heaters
