Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

In a May 11 message, U.S. Customs and Border Protection said it has the ability to manually release truck entries in ACE cargo release, one of several system changes it has implemented to address communication issues between ACE R4 (truck manifest) and ACE cargo release. However, the entry must include a port code for this option to be available. CBP acknowledges that it is not mandatory to file entries with a port code but states that doing so will assist in the manual release of entries.
