Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg Trade Report

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reports that during the week of June 6 port code 1181, which has long been identified as “Inactive Do Not Use,” will be deactivated and the trade community will no longer be able to use it on bills of lading or in-bond movements. CBP states that this step is part of a process under which it has identified port codes associated to facilities that are no longer active and will be deactivating them one field office at a time. Port code 1181 is the only one to be identified for deactivation by CBP’s Baltimore Field Office.
