Export Committees on Materials, Transportation Equipment to Meet

Materials. The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Nov. 19 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS with respect to technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials and related technology.

The open session of the upcoming meeting will include reports from the composite, biological, and pump and valves working groups as well as a report on regime-based activities. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to join the conference are due by Nov. 12. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session, but reservations are not accepted.

Transportation Equipment. The BIS’ Transportation and Related Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting Nov. 18 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS with respect to technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to transportation and related equipment or technology.

The open session will include status reports by working group chairs. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to join the conference are due by Nov. 10. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session, but reservations are not accepted.
