Export Committee on Materials Processing Equipment to Meet Aug. 5

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Processing Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially closed meeting Aug. 5 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials processing equipment and related technology.

The open session of the upcoming meeting will include a discussion on results from the last, and proposals for the next, Wassenaar Arrangement meeting as well as a report on proposed and recently issued changes to the Export Administration Regulations. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at the public session, but reservations are not accepted.
