Export Controls Committee on Materials Processing Equipment to Meet

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Materials Processing Equipment Technical Advisory Committee will hold a partially open meeting May 17 in Washington, D.C. This committee advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials processing equipment and related technology.

The open session will include discussion of the results and proposals from the last Wassenaar Arrangement meeting as well as a report on proposed and recently issued changes to the Export Administration Regulations. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to join the conference are due no later than May 10. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at this session but reservations are not accepted.
