Importer Recordkeeping Requirements Under Garage Door Operator Standard Being Reviewed

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is accepting comments through Feb. 1 on the proposed extension of approval of a collection of information under the safety standard for automatic residential garage door operators. CPSC regulations prescribe requirements for a reasonable testing program to support certificates of compliance with this standard. Manufacturers, importers and private labelers must establish and maintain records to demonstrate compliance with the testing requirements.
