New Foreign-Trade Zone in New York, Expanded Zone in Quad Cities

The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has recently taken the following actions.

- granted authority for the establishment of FTZ 285 under the alternative site framework with a service area of Chenango County, N.Y., adjacent to the Syracuse U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry

- approved an application from the Quad-City Foreign-Trade Zone Inc. to reorganize FTZ 133 under the ASF with a service area of Henderson, Henry, Mercer, Rock Island and Warren counties in Illinois and Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Dubuque, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott and Washington counties in Iowa, within and adjacent to the Davenport, Iowa-Moline and Rock Island, Illinois, CBP port of entry

- authorized production activity under zone procedures at the Perkins Shibaura Engines LLC facility within site 6 of FTZ 26 in Griffin, Ga., which is used for the production of diesel engines used in off-road vehicles
