Two FTZs Expanded; Authority Sought at Farm Equipment, Aircraft Part Facilities
The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has recently announced the following actions.
- The Lincoln Foreign-Trade Inc., grantee of FTZ 59, has submitted a notification of proposed production activity at the CNH America LLC facility within subzone 59B in Grand Island, Neb. This facility currently has authority to produce combines, haytools and related equipment using certain foreign-sourced components, and the request involves additional combine subassemblies and other agricultural equipment. Comments on this notification are due no later than June 24.
- The City of Phoenix, grantee of FTZ 75, has submitted a notification of proposed production activity at the Honeywell Aerospace Inc. facilities within subzone 75J in Phoenix and Tempe, Ariz.., which are used for the production of aircraft engines, systems and components. Comments on this notification are due no later than June 24.
- The FTZ Board has approved the reorganization and expansion of FTZ 3 under the alternative site framework to include a service area of Contra Costa, Marin and Solano counties as well as portions of Napa and Sonoma counties in California, within and adjacent to the San Francisco U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry.
- The FTZ Board has approved the reorganization of FTZ 147 under the ASF to include a service area of Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster and York counties in Pennsylvania, in and adjacent to the Harrisburg CBP port of entry.
