The Foreign-Trade Zones Board has granted authority for subzone status for activity related to the manufacturing of (a) silicon-based products at the Dow Corning Corporation facility in Midland, Mich. (subzone 140B) and (b) polysilicon at the Hemlock Semiconductor LLC facility in Clarksville, Tenn. (subzone 78J). Both approvals are subject to a restriction prohibiting the admission of foreign-status silicon metal subject to an antidumping or countervailing duty order and to a condition that the company submit supplemental reporting data for the purpose of monitoring by FTZ staff.
