Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker announced recently a number of additional or expanded Foreign Commercial Service offices in Asia and Africa. Pritzker said the FCS will open new offices in Wuhan, China, and Rangoon, Burma, and will also put more resources at ten other posts across the region. In addition, the FCS will open its first offices in Angola, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Mozambique and expand existing offices in Kenya, Ghana, Morocco and Libya. According to Pritzker, these moves will allow the FCS “to do even more to promote U.S. exports” in these rapidly growing regions “while also helping attract inbound investment through SelectUSA.”
