FDA Takes First Step Toward Regulations on Administrative Detention of Drugs

The Food and Drug Administration is accepting written comments through May 9 on the implementation of its administrative detention authority with respect to drugs under the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act. Under that law the FDA must issue a final rule implementing this authority before it may take effect and must consult with stakeholders before issuing a final rule.
