The Department of Energy has received an application from ConocoPhillips Alaska Natural Gas Corporation requesting blanket authorization to export up to the equivalent of 40 billion cubic feet of liquefied natural gas for a two-year term to commence Feb. 19, 2016. This LNG would be exported from facilities near Kenai, Alaska, to any country with which the United States does not have a free trade agreement requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas and with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policy. Protests, motions to intervene or notices of intervention, requests for additional procedures, and written comments are due by Dec. 9.
