Ex-Im Financing Sought for Exports of Planes to Ethiopia, Oil Field Equipment to Mexico

The Export-Import Bank of the United States has received applications for final commitments for long-term loans or financial guarantees to support the export of (a) U.S.-manufactured Boeing 777 commercial aircraft to Ethiopia, where they will be used by Ethiopian Airlines for air cargo transport primarily between Ethiopia and other countries in Africa, Asia and Europe; and (b) U.S.-manufactured drilling rigs, platform rentals, compressors, oil field services and related equipment to be used in onshore and offshore oil and gas exploration and production areas in Mexico. Comments on these applications are due no later than Sept. 8.
