Export Committees on Emerging Technology, Sensors and Instrumentation to Meet

The Emerging Technology and Research Advisory Committee, which advises the Bureau of Industry and Security on emerging technology and research activities, including those related to deemed exports, will hold a partially open meeting July 18 and 19. Agenda items for the open session will include Boeing’s experience with emerging technologies and export control, the foreign patent process for new technologies, and a review of technologies submitted for consideration by committee members. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 40 participants, and requests to participate are due no later than July 11.

The Sensors and Instrumentation Technical Advisory Committee, which advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to sensors and instrumentation equipment and technology, will hold a partially open meeting July 30. Agenda items for the open session will include remarks from BIS management and industry presentations. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants, and requests to participate are due no later than July 23.

A limited number of seats will be also available at the public session of each meeting, but reservations are not accepted.
