Export Control Reform Activities to be Among Topics of BIS Meeting

The Bureau of Industry and Security’s Emerging Technology and Research Advisory Committee will be holding a partially open meeting July 23 in Washington, D.C. The ETRAC advises BIS on emerging technology and research activities, including those related to deemed exports.

Key topics on the agenda for the open session of the upcoming meeting include review and discussion of new Export Control Reform Initiative activities and a report from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research on recent international technologies exchange and emerging technologies under consideration. This session will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis, and requests to participate in this manner must be submitted no later than July 16. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at this session, but reservations are not accepted.
