Export Control Advisory Committees to Meet

The Bureau of Industry and Security has announced partially open meetings of the following technical advisory committees in Washington, D.C.

- The Information Systems TAC, which advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to information systems equipment and technology, will meet Oct. 19 and 20 to discuss Wassenaar proposals for 2017, integrity software, and embedded ADC/DAC in FPGAs.

- The Materials Processing Equipment TAC, which advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to materials processing equipment and related technology, will meet Oct. 25 to discuss results and proposals from the last Wassenaar meeting as well as proposed and recently issued changes to the Export Administration Regulations.

- The Sensors and Instrumentation TAC, which advises BIS on technical questions that affect the level of export controls applicable to sensors and instrumentation equipment and technology, will meet Oct. 26 to hear remarks from BIS management and industry presentations.

The open session of each of these meetings will be accessible via teleconference to 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. In addition, a limited number of seats will be available at each open session, but reservations are not accepted.
